Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, your mind may be traveling to what to do with all the leftovers. If you had a house full of guests, this may not be a problem. We had a very small Thanksgiving, but our bird was quite big so I have plenty of left overs and although we really do enjoy turkey sandwiches, even that can get kind of old.
I thought I would share a few recipes that you could try if you too have some extras in the home. I love crescent rolls. We always have extras containers left over so one of the things that I have started making is Turkey Pesto Squares. I got this recipe last year when watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and now that I have my own basil plant, I can make it almost any time! Yep, my plant is still thriving! It is amazing…the recipe not the plant. If you don’t have crescent rolls you can also make pizza dough.
Have a lot of stuffing leftover? Of course you do. Parlay that stuffing into an awesome turkey & stuffing casserole! I picked this recipe from About.com Southern Food! Oooh they know how to make things tasty in the south. :)
Lastly, thanks to Marie Callender’s, I will forever be a fan of the pot pie. This recipe for turkey pot pie from allrecipes.com has taken us through several types of Thanksgiving leftovers. Even if you have used up all your veggies, there are plenty of frozen ones on sale that you can put into this tasty recipe, and it is a great way to use up some of your extra gravy!
