| Church on the Street in Prescott feeds over 10,000 meals to the homeless annually. This is done through our outreach ministry. Food bank and other sources of donations have greatly declined and we are in desperate need of your support. Proceeds from our car washes on Fridays and Saturdays go to help make up for declining support. |

| 2nd Annual Northern Arizona NFFF Golf Tournament |
| The 2nd Annual Northern Arizona NFFF Golf Tournament, benefiting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, will be held on Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Stone Ridge Golf Course in Prescott Valley. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the NFFF in its mission to honor firefighters who died in the line of duty, provide resources for their surviving family members, and prevent future fire service fatalities. A portion of this year’s earnings will benefit Arizona’s Local Assistance State Team (LAST), which provides immediate support to fire departments affected by a line-of-duty death from within their ranks.
The public is encouraged to participate in 2nd Annual Northern Arizona NFFF Golf Tournament. Registration is currently available online for pairs and foursomes; walk-up registration will be available on the day of the tournament, starting at 7 AM. Tee off is scheduled for 8 AM, and golf will be a scramble/ best-ball format. |

| The 13th Annual Empty Bowls event will be taking place on September 12th at the Prescott Courthouse Plaza from 11am to 2pm. For a donation of $15, you will be able to select a bowl that has been handmade by a local artisan and then enjoy two servings of delicious soup that has been prepared by chefs from Prescott area restaurants (bread and water are included). You get to keep the beautiful bowl and the money is given to the Yavapai County food banks. |

| Women of Wisdom, American Evangelical Lutheran Church |
| The Women of Wisdom (WOW) Fall session will run from September 15 to November 3, but registration is now open!
Women of Wisdom, an interdenominational Christian fellowship of bible teaching and bible studies for women of all ages and backgrounds, is now taking registration for their Fall 2010 session. The new session begins on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, and meets for eight weeks, until November 3. WOW meets on Wednesday mornings from 8:15AM to 11:15AM and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at American Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott. Scholarships for class materials are available, and free childcare is always provided.
The program for WOW each Wednesday morning includes coffee time, praise & worship music, prayer, a first-hour bible teaching and your choice of a small-group bible study or fun “potpourri” class.
Evening classes are held in conjunction with American Lutheran’s Soul Café, Wednesday evening family night. An inexpensive family meal is served beginning at 5:00PM; everyone is welcome.
